Thanksgiving Day

We had a nice Thanksgiving celebration two times over this year.  This was a very good thing since we had no Thanksgiving last year due to 2 hospitalizations in the family.

I started out the day getting to watch the parade on TV snuggled in bed with the kiddos, coffee in hand.  This made for one happy me!

Then we headed over to have lunch with Sharon & Leslie.  The meal was delicious.  Nathanael was able to make it, but unfortunately Benjamin had been ill the night before so he & Candice did not.

We headed back to our house late afternoon and had dinner with Tom & Jan.  Jan very generously offered to make us Thanksgiving dinner.  It was another super yummy meal.

Tom & Jan's new dog, Maddoc, also came to visit.  Jonathan was able to go out and walk him on 2 occasions.  He loved, loved this dog & kept saying how much Maddoc liked him.

Tom, also known as Pappy, read the bedtime story to the kids a couple of nights too.  It was a special treat.

Camp Out

We headed down for the day to our annual extended family camp out this past Saturday.  The weather was really nice for the day.  We walked to the lake to skip rocks, caught up with family, saw several deer and the kids played really well with my cousins' kids too.  Ella brought her drivable car down & graciously shared it with the other kids.  Kat got in as much swing time as possible because it was the first one she found that was low enough for her to get in by herself & swing in by herself - something she is really into these days (the "I do it myself!" part).  Frisbees were thrown, an amazing meal was eaten, and a fire was enjoyed.  Good day!
